Richard, it's been almost a year so perhaps you are not still involved but if you are, can you (or anyone else reading this) tell me if you experienced a feeling that your left/fret hand was abnormally contorted to finger even the most basic chords? I've been playing (off and on) for about 3 weeks, not much, and feel like my hand just isn't made to stretch even half a fret length between the second and third fingers. I have never found articles or blog posts on it so it looks like I'm the only one.... Is this just abnormal? I don't expect to play without much more significant time practicing, I know that; I'm just afraid my 50 year old hand is just not going to be able to do this no matter how long I go at it.
