Thank you for the reply !
My main idol is Guthrie Govan.
I'm trying to develop a technique similar to his.

Basically, fast alternate picking. Sweep picking. and full control over scales like the major scale and it's modes.

I began practicing with a routine I formed. and it's been a week since then. and im not feeling any difference.
I know that it should take more time till I can have some results, but I wanted to know if my routine covers the fundamentals for improving my technique, or in other words - is this routine ideal ?
    Each one gets 10 minutes.

    CHROMATIC ASCENDING/DESCENDING
    C major scale
    Sweep Picking minor chords
    Sweep Picking major chords
    Altered Scale ascending/descending
    Pentatonic Scale
    Triads
    Modes
    Sight Reading
    Improvising

Second. what do you think is more essential or worth ?
Practicing with patterns (like chromatic 1234-1234) or through music (for example, practicing via playing a Guthrie Govan's solo)
