I'm going to start on Pebber brown 14 position next week and I was think about learning one position in each mode and then moving to the other position, let me explain, I will learn position 1 major then pos1 melodic minor after pos 1 harmonic minor then pos 1 hugarian minorand after learning all modes in the pos1 I will move to pos 2 and do the same thing, what do you think?
This not the way I learned the caged system, when I learned the caged sys I learned all majors and then all melodic minor. It was Hard work.
I hope to learn the 14 pos in one year, that's my goal.

hey man thanks for asking,
humm I got distracted alot by the overload of information that I was getting over the internet, jazz forums, youtube videos, friends, opinions, my friend who is a very well acomplished jazz piano player etc,,,
I wasant taking lessons due to some financial problems I was having so I kind let my self drift way from the scales due to all this things and people`s advice.
like my friend the pianist was asking me , why do guitar player get so hung up on scales , he doesnt know a lot of scales or arpeggios but oh boy he can play a hell of jazz on the piano.
stuff like that.
But now im taking lessons with Pebber Brown and I`m going to follow his lead and I know I will get some where, we all need a teacher this fre stuff on youtube wont get us anywhere.
Are you Pebber`s student as well?
Cheers.
