Non Adjacent String and Sarod Practice

Good Morning,

So I have been trying to decrease my movement when string hopping based on my last feedback. Please advise.

Just a quick note, I found it a bit easier to kind of go diagonally across the strings when moving up and down but I wasnt sure if this was a 'no no' or if anyone does this?

I am also attempting to practice sarod picking but i feel like im not even close. I know Pebber said it will feel weird when first practicing this so im keeping that in mind. How should I build up this exercise? Should I start slow at a set bpm? or drink the coffee then just go at it? Please advise.

Thank you for your time!

Sarod is a very very fast way to play a string. But - it can take a very long time to get the right balance and feel.
Its always the number one thing that everyone struggles with - until they get it. THEN they take off with it.
Its like shaking a spoon back and forth in a glass of water. Thats the movement.
