Don't know anything about Audacity and for all I know it is a superior tool. Personally I've never found the notes/chords any use whatsoever however being able to slow down and loop isolated sections of a solo has made it much easier for me to learn solos by ear which is the way I have always done. Except I had to rewind a tape over and over at regular speed.

Yes. I recommend it. You can slow down and loop any sections of a solo you are trying to figure out. I paid $50.00 for it and has free upgrades for life. I'm sure there are others that may be better even. Hopefully if someone knows of any they will respond with their recommendations.

He also has a free video demonstrating many of these. They are great for teaching right and left hand coordination as well as training your fretting hand with all the different combinations of fingering. And yes, huge thanks to PB!!
