Bass Tuition

I have had a number of inquiries for bass lessons in my area. I would like some suggestions for resources, is there an industry standard book for bass? Would anybody know of a youtube channel similar to Pebber's that is dedicated to bass guitar?

Bueller...Anyone?... -_-

I have a new student, a 6 year old learning bass guitar. She is having great difficulty reaching notes on the fretboard, any ideas on how to help her with this? Should I try and teach her to play further up the neck to start so it is easier to reach or throw her in the deep end?

I have used Mel Bay's Electric Bass Method books 1 & 2 by Roger Filiberto with good results. For the more adventurous I recommend Mel Bay's Deluxe Jazz & Rock Bass Method.

I can't say how to help develop a 6year old. May be a better question for Pebber.

6 years old on BASS? Wow that is HUGE stretch! Good luck with that one.
