    I've been playing bass for about 12 years and when I started I always used a strict 4 finger fretting hand thankfully. I only did 1-2-3-4 chromatics for 6+ hours a day with every thinkable permutation and skipping strings so I do know how to concentrate and work on something. I have however never done anything like Pebbers Ladder & Spider techniques so I'm salivating.

    I switched from bass to guitar because of a torn labrum. The 6 string bass was just too heavy and I lost a lot of dexterity that I'm building back everyday. I'm so glad I found this site. I've been just working on module 1 & 2. I know my modes, quite a few chords/arpeggios [maj, min, dim, aug, 7th, 9th, 13th, sus2, sus4 not all inversion tho!], scales [everything in chords, harm. min., nat. min., hungarian etc] but Pebbers memorization exercises have really got me excited as well.

    I'm totally committed and ready to do this. Im not a beginner by no means by I'm not budging from 1-2 modules until they're mastered.

    Yeah I had a feeling this didn't involve the right hand. It's more of a deep concentration exercise. I'm trying to strengthen the hand to brain connection so it's more fluid when I"m playing.

    Do you actually pick any notes or is just about getting the fingers to move simulatenously when lifting them up and putting them down on the fret board?

    I learned my modes first and happened to be playing the pentatonics by accident for a couple years before I solidly knew the 5 positions after opening a book. The pentatonics just seemed right to me when playing in a rock context.

    I'm going to be making my first $60.00 payment ($2/day) for ASYNCHRONOUS Internet lessons so I can have full access to all of Pebber's awesome Module based learning system. This is THE MOST comprehensive guitar lesson curriculum I've ever encountered from one source. I own DVD's (Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Alexi Vaiho, Gus G, Frank Gambale) and tons of books (Berklee Press, MI Press, & countless others) and they all have great tips, licks and ideas but NONE of them touch on Left hand and Right hand exercises like Pebber does. I sat for 6 hours a day the past two days going over his left and right hand exercises and I've already improved my playing all around. I'm more crisp and clear in what I play and my speed has easily doubled. I know my modes and a quite a few of the different scales, arpeggios and chords by heart but his lessons have taken me to the next level. I can only imagine how great I will be in 1, 2 or 3 years.

    Honestly if you love Pebber's work you should donate or pay for his $60 a month. It's freaking 2 dollars a day. All of us spend that much on coffee or soda a day.

    I have about 5-7 hours to practice a day, broken up into pieces. I can do 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon and then I can do a 3-5 hour block after 10 pm (I work and have a 3 year old son). How would you practice the right and left hand exercises in that time frame Pebber?
