Thanks, guys, for the feedback; I think all of you hit the nail on the head. I need to get a routine started oriented around music I like and I think things will start to fall into place.

I am writing this in hopes that some of you have had my problem. I simply can't get motivated to practice. I am lost in this ocean of material and end up practicing the same few things day in and day out, and never getting anywhere. It would be one thing if I were 15 and doing this, but I am 61 and doing this for the first time. ANY encouragement would be appreciated; I've seen enough videos telling me to "stop being a wimp". I didn't get this far in life being a wimp. It would be great if I could just get 10 minutes a day on each module. But if I can't practice different parts of the module each day, it just ends up boring me. Please help me. I just want to complete one 7 module practice day, even if it's only 5 minutes a mod, and then build on that. Thanks.

This is the first video I've posted in awhile, so I went back to the beginning. I suck, I know. I am struggling to get a daily routine started, am just starting to make some headway in that area. I don't always get time everyday to practice. I am working on spider exercises, right hand scalpel picking, 5 position scales and E minor pentatonic. Main goal on the guitar other than to just improve is to play Jazz Real Book standards. Also like Ted Greene chord melodies, favorite players TG, Jerry Garcia, Grant Green, Wes, Joe Pass, others. Feel free to pass along constructive criticism, thanks, will be posting again in the very near future...

Current amps are '65 reissue Twin and Super, pedals are TC Electronic Ditto X2, Hall of Fame reverb, Visual Sound Route 66 and H2O, Dunlop Cry Baby, Peterson Stompbox, Boss DS-2, Providence Delay, with a Voodoo lab 2+2 powering it all.
2011 Am. Standard Strat, 1998 Am. Standard Tele, 2002 Martin Golden Era 1934 D-18 (with a neck like a baseball bat),
Martin OM-18C, 1966 Gibson B-45 12 string. Lots of eq for a guy who seldom plays out....

Thanks, Ursin, and thanks too to Pebber for your encouragement on this; I know I suck, especially on speed, and I read a post you made in another thread about building speed by using the metronome to the point where you can handle it, then increasing speed in 5 bpm bumps until you get to the desired speed through crashing, and that's what I'm doing. I have been challenged always in building a practice regiment I can stick to day in and out. I am beginning and I'm not going to fail!! at least not completely.

I haven't seen any "Video Einfugen". What am I missing? I copied and pasted the link, but it said I was allowed 0 links!!! Also, I uploaded it to U Tube as a .mp4, so the server wouldn't crash... ?

I had the same problem with the theory videos, after I cleaned out my browser's cache, I was able to get them all...
I too am a newb and this looks like a good place to post my current progress on Module 1 #1. It's pretty ragged, but I've been lurking for awhile, and wanted to get something up to get some feedback. I've been able to get to about minute 22 where Pebber goes to 184, and I lose it there...144 is as fast as I've been able to get it. I'm new at all of this stuff, and amazed and overwhelmed by the level of commitment evryone has; it's really encouraging. Still working on posting....
